daily draws thus far.

First day was hourly comics (which I don't feel like posting here). This is day 2 and 3. Still a work in progress, making it up as I go. (god I need reference.)

I feel like I lost some of the appeal in the sketch when I tried going into color though. And why do my colors always get desaturated when I save as a jpeg...?

    1. Nope, not cmyk. Maybe I'm not using the right proof setup? It's really frustrating. :\ Everything looks so much more vibrant when I'm actually working on it in photoshop.

    2. Could be your screen settings. I remember always looking at your screen and just wondering why it was doing it haha. I remembered you changed the gamma right?

    3. I changed the gamma before, but I think I changed it back to the native setting? Maybe I still have it on PC gamma, hmm...

    4. It still looks pretty saturated to me, so maybe it's just your computer screen seeing the jpeg less saturated? idk

  2. I don't think I'm seeing what you're seeing - the colours only seem to increase the appeal of the sketch from where I'm sitting. I even kind of like it desaturated like this. The colours don't necessarily lose their appeal, but rather they just feel more tempered and cohesive.

Also, goddamn that's a cool coat.

    2. It's a fun character design. I dig her goggles and the shadows on her face. The color of the thing in her mouth(I forgot what to call those things)almost blends with her face. I think a slight highlight where it comes out of her lips would easily solve that. Simple composition buut effective.. better than all of my blank backgrounds when I paint a character haha
