While I was trying to fix the merman's pose, I found myself very unwilling to change large sections of it. ... So obviously the only reasonable solution was to scrap him altogether and try something different.
I tried grafting little bits of coral and such to his body, trying to make it seem like he's rather ancient without making him look like an old man. Makes him a bit sinister, which.. I could go for. Maybe.
Oh yeah! I think its coming together nicely! Im always for adding more narrative to things! Maybe some fish bones necklace? small detail but it could be like his trophy from a past battle or something. Scar around his body? maybe he fought a giant squid before! ENDLESS POSSIBILITIES!!
