  1. wouldn't the wind toss the woman's hair to the left? where the waves are moving? or maybe it'd simply blow out a little crazily behind her head rather than to the side. she stands fairly close to where the water meets the rock and sand, it looks. the wind would be affecting her the same way it is affecting the water, no?

    1. You're right. I was thinking of the force radiating away from the meteorite, but she is still definitely to the same side of it as the waves on the left. Compositionally it'll be a pain though. I think I'll go with the crazily-behind-her-head with no real consistent direction.

    2. why would it be compositionally weird? her hair flowing to the left would become a navigational device directing the eye towards the focal point.

    1. I understand the issue with the lady's triangle, since it's directing the eye right off the canvas. But is there an issue as well with the waves/rocks in the bottom left? When I look at the image alone, I don't see much wrong, but that triangle feels like it's pointing off the page as well.

Also, my issue with the hair going left is that it'd intrude too much on the negative space, and make the focal point feel too cramped. I've changed the hair, though, but now it sticks more closely to her figure with a slight leftward bias.
